This is a first for me and it may be a last, who knows. I really enjoyed this movie and I wanted to share my thoughts about it with you.

I just watched Fetching Cody, sort of out of laziness but mostly because it grabbed my curiosity by just being there.

I had just finished watching a different movie and busied myself tooling around on the internet when Fetching Cody started up. It was low key and quiet but something drew me into watching it. A couple of times, in the beginning, I thought about changing the channel. Then Cody overdosed and Art got desperate and I was hooked.

Fetching Cody is not a romantic comedy but it has humor and it is about love. Bittersweet love. It's about feeling really, really deep down in your toes love. It's about real life. It's about the “what if” questions we all ask ourselves when looking back. It's about traveling back in time and “fixing” what went wrong. It's about fate.

It's my kind of entertaining escapism.

I love sunrises. Morning is my most favorite time of day. This morning I was up before the sun and on my way to work at the first hint of daylight.

This morning's sunrise was magnificent. I wish I was talented with a camera. I imagined seeing [livejournal.com profile] suekay_87  out there with hers. Oh, she could have done magic with this one.

The first part (about 50 miles) of my drive to work is on an interstate (freeway, expressway, superhighway, turnpike), mostly through corn and soybean fields, winding in north and east directions. When I started out, the horizon was just lighting up with orange-red hues and clouds above the horizon caused the sunlight to spray.

I'll stop trying to describe it because the memory is washed out by getting on with the everyday things and I'm not doing it any justice.

A very tranquil drive. I guess that was aided by the music I had playing. My most favorite chill out album is one called "Forever Wild" which is a soundtrack for a television series that had been done about U.S. National Parks. Absolutely beautiful music all, I think, composed by Michael Whalen. Look him up. (or just click here) Give a listen. It'll change your life. When I discovered he has his own website I sent him an email telling him how wonderful his music is and he wrote back! I about fainted.

So now I'm at work. Boo! But I'm streaming Whalen-influenced tunes at Pandora so I'm okay. If the ugly work politics try to creep in around me I shoo them away with a little meditation.

It's all good and getting better.

Love and hugs to my friends!

No, I didn’t give up on LJ.

I didn’t even make a decision based on my last post. I think I’ll just post in both places depending upon how I’m feeling. I poked around and found out how to add links to my page, so if you don’t have Yahoo Messenger (where it’ll tell you if I update my Yahoo stuff) you can get to my blog from the link here. Don’t rush off there now. Go later, in your spare time. Or never at all, I’m fine with that too. Besides, there’s nothing new there yet.

Now that I've unloaded my brain here, I guess I'll get back to work.
