And that was just more video announcements.   So when was my last real update? 

Today I think I stirred up the hot coals at the Gateworld S/J shipper family thread.  If I pissed you off, I'm sorry.  Truly I am. I have no intention of angering folks.  Confrontations are bad for my blood pressure anyway.   So here I am backing down. 

About the blood pressure, it's up and so is my med dose.  As is the depression (or would that be down?) from the PMDD so that med dose is up too.  My cholesterol is up.  My weight is up.  I'm really not doing good with this middle-aged stuff.  My advice?  Don't get old.  Stay young. 

My cat is nuts.  He likes one type of toy and insists on shoving it under or behind or in something then immediately forgets where.  I end up crawling around with a flashlight while he sits there watching me with anticipation of getting his favorite toy back. (who's the nut?) I'd buy him a hundred of the damn things but I can't find them anywhere.  We're down to two almost-fuzzyless fuzzy balls and I can't find either one right now.  The brat sits there staring at me wanting me to go find them.  STOP IT!

Great to hear from you again!

I completely admire you for what you said on the S/J thread. I went there and specifically hunted for your posts and all replies. I had to hunt.. as I no longer feel able to play on that thread anymore. There is a specific reason for it.. you can read my ramblings in an LJ post entitled Photoshop Madness and Forum Woes if you wish. Summed up.. I just can't play in a thread where there is more OT than S/J-ness. And whereas I appreciate that not all stargate fans enjoy seasons 9&10, I can no longer play in a thread where many people continue to bash actors and characters with no heed to what is or isn't on-topic.

So I was really glad to go in and see someone standing up to the OT-ness because it does keep quite a few people away. One can only use the scroll bar so much.

Lucky cat you have there Uhsir. Send me a pic of fav toy and will try and look for it over here.

As for GW shippers OT am now intrigue what you said to stir things up. As you know I have not been there for ages.

I like a good heated argument like the next guy (er...girl), but I prefer to be around people who think along the same lines as me. Makes for less confrontation.

Whatever you said, I am sure it took balls to say it. And, therefore, yay you!

You did good on Gateworld Theresa! You stirred things up, together with some other people, but you did it in a polite way. It needed to be said imo. I think everyone understood your point.

Oh, and I'll take your advice and stay young. Hope you'll feel better soon.

I'm so sorry! It sounds like you had a bad couple of days there. It can be hard dealing with people online sometimes, hard to get your point across without being percieved in a way you do not intend. I'm sure they'll understand eventually.

As for staying young: I'm doin' my best here but until humanity can stop time, I think we're gonna have a problem. :) I hope that your medical problems get better soon!

If someone stirred things up, it was probably me again, so you have nothing to worry about.. I mean I think they will hate me at one point for always trying to keep the thread a bit on topic but I guess that will never happen eh... I guess I live in a dreamworld :p
So don't worry about GW, they are not mad at you :-p

And I will stay young for sure :-p or at least I'll die trying to :-P

and hugs for the medical things going on...you know what cheers me up when down: watching an ep of SG :-)
