I got the letter "C"
so here goes...
1. Children. My two children and my youngest stepson all have names that begin with the letter "C." This was not done on purpose. My husband and I have children from our first marriages and named before he and I knew each other. When we named our son we never considered the first initial. *rambling! let's move on*
2. Chocolate.
3. Cruising. (not what some of you may be thinking ;) I love to get in the car, point it in a direction and just drive. For hours and hours. In a direction away from the city.
4. Computer. I more than like it. I'm addicted to it. I'm guilty of, on occasion, forsaking life's necessities because I'd rather amuse myself on the computer. Not just the internet. I can be happy and content for many hours digging around in the underbelly of the operating system, working/learning in Quicken, analyzing odd ideas in MS-Excel, making music videos. Stuff ordinary people do. :P
5. Celtic music massages my brain. I know I'd heard it in places long before, but I was formally introduced in the oddest way. One day I got a package in the mail and in it was a CD. Enya: The Celts. I had no idea why I received it, it was addressed to me, there was no invoice, no letter of explanation, just some sheets of advertisement. Turns out it was a promotional CD but still I have no idea from where. Okay, well anyway, I'd never heard of Enya. Right, I live in shell. On a remote island. All alone. Anyway, I gave the CD to my daughter (she was 9 years old), thinking it was some kid music or something. This was 15 years ago, so memory is not real clear, but thinking back I'm wondering how bad was that? I never even listened to it, just handed it off to her. It could have been, like, bad! Anyway, she brought it back and told me it was my kind of "sappy" music. LOL! I played it and fell in love.
6. Cats. I like most domestic pets, but cats are my favorite. They give and accept love but they also need their own space at times. I'm a lot like that myself.
7. Chaos. I thrive in it even though I hate it. I find myself tangled up in chaotic situations quite a bit. Mostly because I procrastinate until the situations become chaotic. Sometimes I handle it well, sometimes not. The more personally involved I am with the situation, the less able I am to maintain self-control. This is why I very much need my husband. When I start to fall apart, he holds me together, and as stoic as he is, he sometimes needs me to do the same for him.
8. Cohort. I love that word. It sounds, I don't know, just sounds fun. In meaning though, for me it is a true and special friend. Like the email that goes around every so often; someone who can't bail you out of jail because he/she is in there with you. I don't have many friends. I consider each friend to be my cohort. I don't have a very outgoing, inviting personality so anyone who is willing to put up with me has really got to be close to me.
9. Canada. I want to go up to Canada and visit everywhere I can. I've been a few times in the east, driving up the west side of the Great Lakes to get there.
10. Coffee. Runs through my veins. Need it to keep moving every day.
